code3.dev / JSON Tables
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
JSON Tables is a browser extension for Safari, Chrome and Firefox, made by code3.dev. It shows JSON as tables, trees and charts, and exports CSV files.
The short version
JSON Tables does not collect, store, share or sell any data. Everything it does happens on your device.
What the extension does with page content
- When you open a page in your browser, JSON Tables checks whether the page is a JSON document. If it is, the extension shows that page's JSON as a table instead of plain text. Other pages are left untouched.
- The JSON you view, paste or open from a file is processed only in your browser, on your device. It is never sent to the developer or to anyone else.
- CSV and SVG exports are created on your device and saved only where you choose to save them.
What we don't do
- No analytics, tracking, advertising or telemetry.
- No accounts, sign-in or cookies.
- No network requests to the developer or to third parties.
- No browsing history is read or stored.
Permissions
- Access to web pages: the extension needs permission to run on websites so it can recognise JSON documents and display them as tables. It only reads the page you are viewing, it only changes pages that are JSON documents, and it never sends their content anywhere.
- Clipboard: used only when you click "Copy JSON", to copy the data you are viewing.
Children's privacy
JSON Tables collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
